Jack-o’-Lantern Pumpkin Pie and Pumpkin Cookies for Halloween

Pumpkin Pie

It’s already October, eh? Only two months left and it’ll be a brand new year again. Time sure flies really fast. Anyway, I didn’t plan to make pumpkin pie but then I went to supermarket and saw those delicious looking pumpkins so I ended up buying it.

I didn’t waste any minutes, I bought it, went straight home, cut the pumpkin into chunks and boiled it with cinnamon.

While I was waiting until the pumpkin is soft, I started to make the pie dough. This one I made is the easiest pie dough. You  don’t even need to measure it, just feel it with your hands. I only used flour, pinch of baking powder, and butter.

and then I rolled out the dough and checked the pumpkin. Once it has become soft, I strained it and mashed the pumpkin. You can use blender or food processor if you want.

I added cinnamon powder, brown sugar, a bit of granulated sugar, milk, and corn flour to the mixture. Once it has boiled, turn off the heat and let it cool.

Coat it with egg evenly using brush and just put it in the oven.

One OK Rock is finally coming to Jakarta this year! I definitely wouldn’t miss this for the world.  They haven’t announced anything yet except for the date and the venue. The concert will be held at Skeeno Hall, Gandaria CIty, the same place as Jrock Evolution last year. Well, let’s just hope that the ticket price won’t be too high because there will be Jrock Evolution again this year in Jakarta.

If you haven’t heard of this band, here take a minute and listen

Do you want more? Sure thing, here you go

My Impression of Jrock Evolution 2012 in Jakarta (Reaction Gifs)

When Oishi Masahiro san said that there will be Jrock evolution in Jakarta this fall couple months ago

When the promoter said that there will be meet and greet and group photo

When your parents gave you permission to watch Jrock Evolution

When you finally found out the price for VVIP ticket (which provides meet and greet and group photo with Alice Nine or MUCC)

When you realized that you can’t buy the VVIP ticket because it was too expensive

When you realized that you can only buy the VIP ticket

What you’d say when you meet Alice Nine, MUCC, and UNiTE

Your first impression of Trilogy live as the tour promoter for Jrock Evolution in Jakarta

When you realized that the tour promoter is such a troll and unprofessional

When you realized that you missed the chance to take photo with Alice Nine at FX, Senayan

When you woke up in the morning and realized it’s Jrock evolution day

When you read tweets from Alice Nine, MUCC, and UNiTE members about Jakarta

When you read the article from Jrock Evolution press conference about Nao who said that he’d like to live in Jakarta and sell fried rice (nasi goreng) if he wasn’t in Alice Nine

What you looked like when you were waiting in the line to get into the hall

When UNiTE showed up on stage

When MUCC showed up on stage

When Alice Nine showed up on stage

What you looked like during the concert

What you looked like after the concert

Stuff We Watch, Stuff We Love (About MTV Asia and Channel V)

I just read John Green’s blog on tumblr and I am amazed by his post about why the corporate patronage model for funding online video (and other media) is screwed up.

Well that’s true I guess… because I think television is screwed up too you know. For instance like MTV Asia or Channel V. They will air stuff that will appeal to the broadest possible audience, not stuff that will mean something to a smaller audience.

It seems like they can’t distinguish between stuff we watch and listen and stuff we love. They don’t or maybe they CANNOT understand that while lots of people watch and listen to K-Pop, more people love J-pop and J-rock.

I’ve wrote about J/K Hits before. I was so mad at MTV Asia because they didn’t air J-Pop at all even though it was supposed to be Japan/Korean Hits. For god’s sake, are they freaking insane???

and I wrote that they should change the name of the show if they won’t play Jpop/Jrock anymore.

Well… They changed the name of the show. It’s K-wave now, right?

They only think. “oh, Kpop is trending now so why don’t we make shows about Kpop. This will make our rating higher”.

Just like John Green wrote, They don’t get the idea that even though they get fewer viewers, they get BETTER VIEWERS.

THE THINGS THAT MATTER TO THEM ARE ONLY RATINGS AND PROFIT I GUESS… maybe they think that’s how it works.

I wonder if there will be any J-Pop/J-rock again on MTV Asia…But I guess there won’t be any…

Maybe my post here doesn’t matter to them, but it matters for those who care about it.

IN INDONESIA, THOSE CONCERT PROMOTING COMPANIES ARE SCREWED UP TOO

K-Pop is just trending for less than 1 year, but can you believe how many boybands have come to Indonesia?  We begged them to bring Japanese bands to Indonesia but they never listen.

We begged for like 7 years but there’s no response. We did everything we could.

We signed petition to bring X-Japan, Alice Nine, Gazette, L’Arc~en~ciel, Ayumi Hamasaki to Indonesia but they don’t care.  They think no one would want to watch such things. But they were wrong. Oh no… they were wrong… I think they’re stupid for thinking like that

Finally after waiting for like 8 years, one concert promoting company, Marygops took the chance and they brought L’arc~en~Ciel to Indonesia.

Marygops made our dreams come true.

Ps. I am grateful that there’s still people like John Green and Hank Green
