Beef Tongue in Dark Soy Sauce Recipe [Gyuutan in Dark Soy Sauce]

This is a very simple and easy dish to make.

You only need :

  1. Beef Tongue
  2. Onions
  3. Dark Soy Sauce
  4. Salt and Pepper
  5. Margarine
  6. Oil
  7. Water
  8. Cornstarch
  9. Leeks (for garnish)

And you only have  to : 

  1. Put the tongue into a pressure cooker and boil it for ± 20 minutes
  2. Peel the outer skin and slice the tongue
  3. Cut the onion and then slice it
  4. Prepare your pan and add 2 tbsp of oil and 1 tbsp of margarine
  5. Saute the onion and put the sliced tongue into the pan
  6. Mix it well and add dark soy sauce.
  7. Add 1 cup of water, add salt and pepper, and let it boil
  8. After it boiled, add the cornstarch (you must mix 1 tbsp of cornstarch with water)
  9. Taste it. if it isn’t sweet enough, you can add more dark soy sauce.
  10. Place it on a plate and garnish it with leeks
